Nursing Services

A. Treatment Room

Daily clinics are run in the treatment room. Nurses provide facilities for dressing of wounds, removal of
stitches, ear syringing, as well as blood pressure checks and a number of other tests that may be
   requested by the doctors.

B. Blood Tests

Dedicated blood testing clinics are run daily by our Health Care Assistants. The need for these tests are
advised and directed by the GP or hospital doctors- patients are asked to please not book
appointments for blood tests if not previously discussed with a doctor or nurse.

C. Chaperones

Nurses will sometimes be present during appointments with the doctor if a chaperone is required.

All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure
with the doctor or nurse at the Willow Surgery if they consider one if necessary. Alternatively, patients
can of course bring a family member or friend with them to their appointment if they would like.

The healthcare professional may also requiest a chaperone to be present for certain appointments, for
example if an initimate examination is required.
